Photomixer-based frequency-domain THz spectrometer (0.1 – 1.5 THz) with cryogenic (4 K) photomixers, which are mounted in a cryostat equipped with pulse tube refrigerator. Room-temperature photomixers also included.

Main characteristics:
• Base temperature: ~4 K (with microwave cabling)
• Transmission head separation at 4 K: 5 mm, at 300 K: 0 – 200 mm (adjustable rail)
• Superconducting magnet, max field 0.5 T, field parallel to THz beam
• Possibility for external THz modulation, bypassing the internal 6 kHz lock-in
Measurement Circuitry:
• Up to 2 coaxial high frequency output lines (without amplifier)
• Up to 4 coaxial (18GHz) attenuated high frequency input lines
• Up to 12 DC measurement lines
