The Carbolite Gero furnace features a 50 mm quartz tube and is designed for annealing non-volatile solid chips at temperatures up to 1100 °C in a continuous flow of nitrogen or oxygen. It offers a maximum programmable ramp rate of 5 °C/min, controlled via the front panel. Use is permitted only after training, and users must supply their own ceramic or quartz boats. Permitted materials include: quartz, YIG, GGG, YSGG, and Si/SiO₂.
