The solvent is heated by means of a heating bath. A thin solvent film forms on the inside of the rotating evaporating flask, resulting in an increased evaporation rate.
The rotations also lead to an even mixing of the sample thus preventing stationary overheating in the flask.
The drive unit ensures that the evaporating flask rotates evenly. The integrated vapor duct transports the vapor from the evaporation area to cooling area.
