Testex TF416 is a system for testing the colour fastness of textile products (fibre, yarn, or fabric) to perspiration, water, or seawater. It consists of a perspirometer and an incubator.

Samples in contact with standard fabric are pre-treated, put into the perspirometer under static pressure and treated in the incubator for a specific time. Staining is assessed with grey scales.

Assessment of the potential to phenolic yellowing can also be managed with this equipment.
