The Hach DR6000 has standard programs for cuvettes with barcodes.
Deuterium lamp for UV 190 to 360 nm and halogen lamp for visual range 320 to 1100 nm.
COD results are measured as single wavelength readings. Absorbance values are the results of light absorbed by the sample. Concentration values are calculated with the concentration factors from measured absorbance values. The device gives COD concentrations. The effect of dilution should be calculated afterwards.
Other Hach ready-to-use cuvette analyses can be performed with the device. The need for and training in these can be discussed separately.

Programs
- Stored programs (pre-installed test)
- Barcode programs
- Single wavelength
- Multi wavelength
- Wavelength scan
The training for using the device is ONLY for COD analysis. Users must purchase Hach COD cuvettes themselves (~140€/25 tests; Delivery time approx. 2 weeks). The booking time includes 2 hours of use of the LT200 digester.
Note: Use conventional UV-VIS spectrophotometers (such as Shimadzu UV-2550) for absorbance and spectrum measurements.
